Fernando Alonso heads the F1 field – with four rivals in his slipstream
Paul Weaver for The Guardian:
The final nine races of the F1 season, beginning with the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday, will be fought out over 13 weeks with only five drivers in realistic title contention
This has been the most exciting F1 season in decades. And the last 9 races will be contended nearly back-to-back.
I think, in the end, it will boil down to three contenders: Alonso (in a better Ferrari), Webber (to get him to stay some more years at Red Bull) and Hamilton (who’s the bitten dog).
